California bands this weekend participated at the MSHSAA Solos and Small Ensembles festival at Osage High School.
Musicians were given ratings for their performances, with a 1 rating being the highest score. Those with 1 ratings will move on to the state competition.
California performers receiving 1 ratings were: Emily Gray, tenor saxophone solo; and Dalton Arnold, Bryson Hoskins, Johnny Garcia and David Cisnerso, mixed saxophone quartet.
Receiving 2 ratings were: Colton Foss, Charlie Turner, Aaron Spillars, Eman Isidro and Ivan Oppermann, mixed brass quintet; Alyssa Roney, flute solo; and Jakson Henry, snare solo.
Receiving a 3 rating was: Amy Haslag, alto saxophone solo.
