CENTRALIA, Mo. - The California boys track team finished third in the Class 3 District 5 meet Saturday, posting 79 points.
The Pintos trailed district champion Centralia (156) and runner-up Southern Boone (100.5).
Gunner Baquet was a double-winner for the California boys, winning titles in the long jump and triple jump.
Southern Boone's Devon Perry won in four events: the 100-meter dash, along with the 4x100-, 4x200- and 4x400-meter relays.
The Lady Pintos took sixth place with 64.5 points. California's lone district champion on the girls side was Audrey Pickering, who placed first in the shot put.
Southern Boone was second with 104.5 points, trailing only Father Tolton's 138. Hannah Crow was a quadruple-winner for the Lady Eagles, taking home titles in the 100-meter and 300-meter hurdles, as well as the 4x100 and 4x400 relays.
