Travis Brandon Butts

Travis Brandon Butts, 36, of California, MO, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2013. He was born on September 9, 1977 in Las Vegas, NV. to Randy and Deanna (Johns) Butts of whom survive in California, MO. On June 12, 1999, Travis was united in marriage at the Moniteau Advent Church near California, MO. to Angie Hampton, who survives of the home. He was the Superintendent of the Eldon Golf Club in Eldon, MO. He graduated at California High School in 1996 where he was student body president and voted most popular student. He graduated from Linn Tech in 1998 as valedictorian with a 4.0. He did his internship at Southern Hills Golf Club in Tulsa OK., and he helped reconstruct as the Superintendent at The Polo Club, in Boca Raton, FL. He attended the First Baptist Church. Travis loved golfing, fishing, barbecuing, and being with his girls, family, and friends. He is survived by two daughters; Alayna Kay, and Madelyn Rosemary Butts of the home, his dog Sparky; one brother, Jeremy Butts of Blue Springs MO., one sister, Tara Rackers and husband Justin of Jefferson City, MO., maternal grandparents Clifford Johns, of Carthage, MO., Dema Johns, of Sparta, MO., paternal grandparents Charles & Rosemary Butts, of Sunrise Beach, MO., and father and mother in-law Brad and Linda Baer, of California, MO. He was preceded in death by one twin brother of Jeremy, Jonathon Matthew Butts, on December 22, 1981, and father in-law A.G. Hampton. Funeral Services were held on Tuesday October 22, 2013 at First Baptist Church Sanctuary in California MO. Officiating was Rev. Greg Morrow. Interment was at the California City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the children of Travis Butts Education Fund c/o Bowlin-Cantriel Home 100 S. Oak St. California MO. 65018. Arrangements were under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California, MO.
