Patti Minturn

Patti Minturn, 86, of California, Mo passed away on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at the Moniteau Care Center in California, MO. She was born on April 26, 1927 in Sedalia, MO the daughter of Keith and Margaret (Baker) Kays whom preceded her in death. She graduated from Eldon High School in 1945. Patti was united in marriage at the Eldon First Baptist Church on June 13, 1948 to Harry Minturn whom survives of the home. She was a member of the First Christian Church in California where she was involved with the CWF and taught Sunday School. She was very involved in the PEO and was a Girl Scout Leader. Patti was co-owner with her husband at their Family Shoe Store in California for many years and she loved the work she did there. She is survived by 1 son, Jim Minturn and wife Penny of Honolulu, HI; 2 daughters, Jo Ann "Jody" Blevins and Husband Melvin of Smithville, TN and Linda Washburn and husband Bill of Lake Ozark, MO; 1 brother, Kenneth Kays of Columbia,MO; 2 sisters, Sue Coffman of Eldon, MO and Karla Centella of Oakville, MO; 9 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her sister Billie Jean Gunn. A memorial service was held on Saturday, October 26, 2013 at the funeral home. Officiating was the Rev. Dr. Peter Kurowski, assisted by Pastor Dan Rolison. Inurnment was at the Eldon City Cemetery.
