Geoff Baquett

Geoff Baquet, 55, of California, Mo., passed away at his residence on Saturday, April 22, 2017. He was born in Jefferson City, Mo., on April 27, 1961, the son of Loren Baquet who survives in High Point, Mo. and Evelyn (Croy) Baquet who preceded him in death on May 20, 2014. He was a graduate of Eldon High School in 1979. He worked as a journeyman wireman for IBEW Local 257, Jefferson City, Mo., who he enjoyed working for. He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in California, Mo. He enjoyed going to his kids sporting events, hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting, and was very proud of his grandchildren. Survivors include: three sons, Glenn Baquet and his wife, Krista of Clarksburg, Mo., Garret Baquet of California, Mo., Gunner Baquet of California, Mo.; one daughter, Janelle Bernard and her husband, Brad of California, Mo.; one brother, Greg Baquet and his wife, Patty of High Point, Mo.; three nephews, Grant Baquet and his wife, Latessa of Grain Valley, Mo., Zach Baquet of Eugene, Mo., Brock Baquet of Eugene, Mo; three grandchildren, Kacen Baquet, Kamryn Baquet, Braxton Bernard, and special friend Karen Christ. Along with Geoff's mother he was preceded in death by: one nephew, Jeremiah Baquet. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2017, from 5 8 p.m., at the funeral home. Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 11:00 a.m., at St. Paul Lutheran Church in California. Officiating will be Pastor Peter Kurowski. Memorials are suggested to IBEW Local 257, Jefferson City, Mo., c/o the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Services, California, Mo.
