Raymond Barnhart

Raymond Barnhart, 90, of California, Mo., passed away at his residence on Friday, May 12, 2017. He was born on September 20, 1926, in McGirk, Mo. He served in U.S. Army in the Korean War. He worked as a postman for the United States Postal Service, farmed, worked construction, and owned a demolition company. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in California, Mo. He enjoyed his two cats and watching westerns. Survivors include: two grandchildren, Jason Gaines of Martinez, Calif. and Scott Gaines of Los Angeles, Calif.; two great- grandchildren, Anthony Gaines and Francesca Gaines. He is preceded in death by: his wife, Juanita Dunham on December 17, 2009 and one step-daughter, Brenda Williams. A graveside service with full Military Honors will be held on Monday, May 22, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., at the California City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Disabled American Veterans.
