Robert "Bob" Fredrick Gadd

GADD Robert "Bob" Fredrick Gadd, 72, of Golden Valley, Ariz., formerly of Latham, passed away Sunday, March 11, 2018. He was born March 10, 1946, in Los Angeles, Calif., the son of Roy and Mary Gadd. Bob graduated grammar school from Saint Matthews School, high school from Los Angeles Unified School District and Los Angeles Trade Technical College. From 1966-1968 Bob served in Vietnam with the United States Army and was awarded the Purple Heart. For many years Bob lived in Latham, Mo. and attended the Latham Christian Church. He worked for Hayes Wheels in Sedalia, retiring after 32 years. After his retirement, he moved to Golden Valley, Ariz. Bob loved many pets through the years, but his Cocker Spaniel Martha remained with him and comforted him until his death. Bob is survived by: his son Bobby Gadd (Kathy) of California, Mo.; four daughters, Peggy Embrey (Jimmy) of Stewartsville, Mo., Janie Swafford of Golden Valley, Ariz., Wendy Benge of Los Angeles, Calif. and Bonnie Gadd (Matt Sroufe); 16 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; Vietnam brother, Vinnie Wickes of South Carolina and several nieces and nephews. Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Alleen Bell Gadd and his daughter Sandy Schatzer. Memorial services will be held at Windmill Ridge Funeral Service on Saturday, June 16, 2018, at 1 p.m. with inurnment following at the Latham Cemetery.
