Linda Rose Knaup

KNAUP Linda Rose Knaup, 68, of California, Mo., passed away on Friday, October 5, 2018 at California Care Center. She was born on November 5, 1949 in California, Mo., the daughter of Floyd E. and Rose P. (Rohrbach) Scott. She was married on June 6, 1970 in California, Mo. to John Knaup. A lifelong resident of the Moniteau County, she graduated from California High School in 1967. Linda was employed with the State of Missouri and the Department of Revenue for 25 years until her retirement. She was a member of Lebanon Baptist Church and a lifelong member of the DAV Auxiliary. Linda enjoyed gardening in her flower and vegetable gardens. She was an avid rock collector and had quite the rock collection. She was often known to start a new collection and had various ones - her favorite was her windchimes and she had them in all different themes and sizes. She also loved animals and was a kind, gentle and giving soul. Her greatest acclaim was to be honored as a mother to her son, John. Linda was preceded in death by her parents and her son, John D. Knaup, who passed away in 2005. Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, October 9 in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Jeremy Barnard officiating. Graveside services followed at the California City Cemetery. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the family of Linda Knaup.
