Donald "Don" Ash
Donald "Don" Ash, 75, of California, MO, passed away on
Thursday, April 4, 2019, at Boone Hospital Ctr. in Columbia, Mo.
He was born on August 18, 1943, in California, Mo., the son of
Oscar Ash and Edith (Hodel) Ash, both of whom
preceded him in death.
Don was united in marriage on December 17,
1966, at the First Baptist Church in California,
Mo. to Sharon Bledsoe who survives of the home.
He worked at California Manufacturing for 19
years, then went to work for the Missouri Dept. of
Corrections as a Chemical Plant Supervisor until
his retirement after 21 years. After his retirement,
he became the personal assistant for 10 years to
the owners of Arkansas Valley Feathers. Don was a member of the
First Baptist Church in California, also a member of California
Eagles 4027 and Jefferson City Eagles 2693. He enjoyed mushroom
hunting, crappie fishing, growing tomatoes, going to the casino's,
and loved riding 4 wheelers and spending time with his son and
beloved granddaughter. Don never met a stranger young or old!
He is survived by his wife Sharon Ash of 52 years who survives
of the home; one son, Branden Ash of California, Mo.; one
granddaughter, Kaliyah Dawn Ash of California, Mo.; brother-inlaw,
David Bledsoe and wife Hazel of California, Mo.; two sistersin-
law, Shirley Connell and husband LeRoy of Republic, Mo. and
Jackie Carver of Boonville, Mo. and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2019, at
11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Officiating will be Bro. Larry
Marriott. Interment will be at the California City Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Kaliyah Dawn Ash College Fund
C/O the funeral home.

Services, California, Mo.
