Edward Malone, Jr.

Edward Malone Jr., 74, of California, Missouri, passed away Friday, April 19, 2019 at California Care Center California, Missouri. He was born on March 23, 1945 in Champaign, Illinois to Edward and Beverly J. Malone, Sr. On December 9, 1968, Ed was married to Georgia Betty King-Barrett, who survives of the home. He was an electrician for several amusement parks in Georgia. After moving to Missouri, he worked in maintenance for Mid-MO Mental Health, then he worked for Missouri Department of Corrections until his retirement. In his retirement, he was a locksmith and worked security at MO Wood. Ed loved spending time with his cat Blackie. Ed is survived by his son, James Malone; his favorite daughterin-law, Tish of Jefferson City; a granddaughter, Loree Papesh (Nicole Fletcher) of Des Moines, Iowa; two grandsons, Bradley Malone (Shanna Orman) and Andy Malone, all of Jefferson City. Private family interment will be at California City Cemetery.
