Janet Kaye Waterstradt
Janet Kaye Waterstradt, age 78, of California, Mo., went to be
with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, April 20, 2019, at her home

Later Janet attended college at Longview Junior College, Tarkio
College, and Columbia College, where she majored in bookkeeping
and accounting.
Janet spent over 25 years in the accounting field in Kansas City,

she retired from Don Schnieders Excavating after 22 years as the
company accountant.
Over the years Janet organized and was the leader for a Daisy

was a leader of a Cadet Girl Scout Troop in Grandview, Mo. Janet
was a leader and assistant leader of her daughter Kerri's Junior Girl
Scout Troop-where she attained the nickname "Wonderwoman" by
the junior scouts and leaders alike when a large tree unexpectedly
fell and started rolling down the hill straight towards the junior
scouts. Janet literally jumped in front of the large log and with help
from God and a mighty adrenaline rush was able to stop the log in
mid-roll before it reached the girls and this delay allowed the girls
to get out of its way.

church ministries including Sunday School Teacher at First Baptist
Church in Grandview, Mo.; Sunday School Teacher and Youth
Leader at Antioch Baptist in Kansas City, Mo.; and she served as a

country.
Janet's hobbies included serving God, reading her bible and
multiple devotions; spending time with family and taking her
grandkids and great-grandkids on backroad adventures (gravel
roading) where one grandchild (Alex) was famous for saying "you
better have water or something to drink and eat when you go on a
drive with gma because you never know where you will end up or
how long you will be gone." She enjoyed crafting (especially
making wreaths and flower arrangements based on the various seasons and holidays) family game nights and reading last but certainly
