Timothy A. Nokes

Timothy A. Nokes Sr., age 74, passed away on Thursday, August 15, 2019, at Festus Manor Care Center in Festus, Mo. Tim was born on January 4, 1945, in Festus, Mo., the son of Hersel Sr. and Melba (Deck) Nokes. He graduated from high school in Herculaneum, Mo. He was a member of Main Street Baptist Church, California. He loved fishing and playing pool. For many years, he enjoyed going to auctions and rummage sales. Any time he could, he would spend time with his grandchildren. Along with his parents, Tim was preceded in death by his brother, Hersel Nokes Jr. Tim is survived by: four sons, Timothy "Andy" Nokes Jr. of Bloomington, Ill., Bill Arnold (Katie) of Plattsburg, Nathan Nokes (Alicia) of California, Matthew Nokes (fiancee Angie Peters) of Jefferson City; 19 grandchildren, Michelle McKenna (Chris), Amber Balfour (Jacob), Austin Nokes, Sydnee Barney (Deejay), Colby Cook, Olivia Arnold, Gracie Arnold, Wyatt Hobbs, Tyler Nokes, Tristan Nokes, Maddie Nokes, Skylar Wolfe, Jordan Nokes, Makaylee Nokes, Zachary Nokes, Ian Nokes, Annalynn Nokes, Brooke Peters, and Carter Nokes; four greatgrandchildren, Mason Short, Ryleigh Balfour, Greyson Barney, and Isla Barney. Visitation will be held Tuesday, August 20, 2019, from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Windmill Ridge Funeral Service. Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Ken Mathes officiating.
