Harold Dean Smith

Harold Dean Smith, 85, of California, MO passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2013 at his home. He was born April 19, 1928 in Jefferson City, to Otto and Clara (Holzer) Smith. On August 24, 1956, Harold was married to Rayma Jo Rule who survives of the home. He graduated from California High School in 1946 and the University of Missouri in 1953. From 1946-49 Harold served in the United States Army as a Corporal. He retired from the State of Missouri after working as a Medicaid Manager. He was a member of the Salem Baptist Church. Harold is survived by: three daughters, Kella Ettinger (Bill) of Naples, FL, Deana Strein (Dennis) of Jamestown, and Nancy McCloud of Jefferson City; one sister, Helen Blaine (Jesse) of DeSoto, KS; several nieces and nephews; eight grandchildren, Shane Masters, Heather Masters, David Ettinger, Erica Militello, Sara Green, Bethany Harris, Nanette McCloud and Sydney Kaitlyn; eight great-grandchildren. Along with his parents, Harold was preceded in death by a son Robert Masters. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
