Mary Sue McBroom

Mary Sue McBroom, 86, of California, Missouri passed away on November 24, 2013 at the Moniteau Care Center. She was born on September 22, 1927 in Moniteau County, Missouri, the daughter of George Vest and Fannie S. (Phillips) Spears. She was married on July 14, 1947 in Kansas City, Missouri to Hale Harden McBroom who preceded her in death on August 31, 1997. Mary Sue attended Red Brush Elementary and Latham High School. For many years she worked off the farm as well as on the farm. She was a member of the Latham Christian Church where she was a Sunday school teacher for the small children for many years. She enjoyed sewing, crocheting, quilting, bingo, word search puzzles, playing cards and spending time with her kids, grandkids and especially the great-grandkids. She was a loving Mom, not only to her children but also to the many other children that touched her life through the years. She is survived by one son Darrell Keith McBroom and his wife Glenda of California, MO and one daughter Sandra Miller of Latham, MO, 2 grandsons Christopher (Chris) Miller and David Wayne Miller both of Latham, MO and one granddaughter Kristina Fast of California, MO, one great-grandson, 4 great-granddaughters, many nieces and nephews, cousins and dear friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and one sister. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, November 27, 2013 at the Roll Funeral Home Chapel with the Brother Jim Randall officiating.
